Rachel Chinouriri annuncia il suo secondo album, I think I spoke too soon, in uscita venerdì 16 ottobre 2026 per Parlophone/Atlas Artists. Ad anticipare il progetto arriva il nuovo singolo “One Song Away From Crying”, accompagnato dal videoclip diretto da Dora Paphides.
Brano synth-pop dalle sonorità luminose e dal forte impatto emotivo, “One Song Away From Crying” racconta quel momento sospeso durante una serata in cui il desiderio di continuare a divertirsi lascia spazio a un confronto con le proprie fragilità. «È una canzone che parla di quel momento in cui capisci che è arrivato il momento di andare via. Ma è una decisione che va oltre la serata stessa: riguarda un conflitto più profondo con il proprio valore personale», racconta Rachel.
I think I spoke too soon rappresenta l’evoluzione naturale del percorso iniziato con l’acclamato debutto What A Devastating Turn of Events (2024). Scritto e registrato tra Londra, Hereford e Los Angeles insieme a collaboratori storici come APOB, Mary Weitz, Glen Roberts e Daniel Hylton-Nuamah, oltre a nuove collaborazioni tra cui Lucy Dacus ed Eli Teplin, il disco esplora i temi dell’identità, del cambiamento e della crescita personale attraverso il racconto di un’unica notte destinata a cambiare tutto.
Contestualmente all’annuncio del disco, Rachel Chinouriri ha confermato una serie di concerti da headliner che nei prossimi mesi toccheranno Los Angeles, New York, Dublino, Londra, Bruxelles, Parigi, Amsterdam, Berlino, Sydney e Melbourne. L’artista sarà inoltre ospite del Daisy Chain Fields Festival di Olivia Rodrigo e aprirà sette date del tour nordamericano di Gracie Abrams.
Negli ultimi anni Rachel Chinouriri si è affermata come una delle voci più interessanti della nuova scena indie-pop britannica. Il suo album di debutto What A Devastating Turn of Events le è valso due nomination ai BRIT Awards (Artist of the Year e Best New Artist), dopo le precedenti candidature agli Ivor Novello Awards e al BBC Sound Of. Con oltre 500 milioni di stream globali, il supporto di una fanbase in costante crescita e il plauso della critica internazionale, Rachel continua a consolidare il proprio percorso artistico. Nel 2025 ha inoltre pubblicato l’EP Little House, collaborato con PinkPantheress nella reinterpretazione di “Romeo” e accompagnato Sabrina Carpenter nel tour europeo di Short n’ Sweet.
