Il prossimo 13 ottobre Capitol Records pubblicherà Something To Give Each Other, il terzo album in studio di Troye Sivan. L’annuncio coincide con la pubblicazione di “Rush” il primo singolo e video ufficiale tratto dal suo nuovo lavoro.
Something To Give Each Other è scritto con Oscar Görres (Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Sam Smith), Ian Kirkpatrick (Dua Lipa, Britney Spears), Leland (Selena Gomez, Ava Max) e Styalz Fuego (Khalid, Imagine Dragons).
Il video di “Rush” il suo primo singolo ufficiale è diretto da Gordon von Steiner (Hermès Ski, Versace Man FW22, Dior Rouge, Louis Vuitton Cruise, Miu Miu), direttore creativo di Sivan, che ha lavorato con lui alla splendida tavolozza visiva di Something To Give Each Other. Coreografie: Sergio Reis (“Black Swan” di BTS).
Ventidue miliardi di streams e 10 milioni di album venduti in tutto il mondo sono traguardi che solo pochi artisti possono vantare. Farlo a 27 anni è tutta un’altra cosa. Se a questo si aggiungono una serie di ruoli di spicco in film hollywoodiani, collaborazioni con l’alta moda, apparizioni sulle passerelle ed un pubblico social di oltre 20 milioni di persone, l’elenco si riduce a una sola persona: Troye Sivan.
Sivan ha recentemente partecipato a campagne per Cartier, YSL Beauty, Calvin Klein e Ivy Park di Beyoncé, ed è apparso nel film “The Idol” di The Weeknd e Sam Levinson per la HBO, accanto a Lily-Rose Depp, Jennie delle Blackpink e lo stesso Abel. Presto lancerà anche Tsu Lange Yor, una collezione indipendente di fragranze e oggetti d’arte.
Cresciuto a Perth, in Australia, Sivan ha infiammato il mondo con un paio di EP, TRXYE del 2014 e Wild del 2015. Con l’album di debutto Blue Neighbourhood, il secondo album Bloom e l’EP In A Dream del 2020, oltre a una serie di singoli e collaborazioni, Sivan si è affermato come icona della musica pop, della moda e della rappresentanza LGBTQI+. Definito dal TIME “la popstar perfetta”, i suoi numerosi riconoscimenti includono un trofeo ai Billboard Music Awards, tre MTV Europe Music Awards, due ARIA Awards e due GLAAD Media. “Revelation”, la sua collaborazione con Jónsi per Boy Erased, è stata nominata ai Golden Globe per la migliore canzone originale per il cinema e inserita nella lista degli Oscar.
