Gli Imagine Dragons sono tornati con il nuovo singolo “Sharks“. Il brano anticipa il nuovo doppio album “Mercury Acts 1 & 2“, disponibile ovunque dal 1° luglio.
Per presentare “Sharks” la band multiplatino vincitrice ai GRAMMY ha organizzato una première con tanto di red carpet durante il loro tour in Europa, con il video messo in onda in livestream globale dal Gartenbaukino Cinema a Vienna. Il video ha debuttato poi su MTV Live, MTVU e sugli schermi MTV di Times Square.
Diretta dal regista vincitore del VMA – Drew Kirsch (Taylor Swift) – la clip è ambientata a Las Vegas e segue la band in varie location iconiche come Bellagio, l’Allegiant Stadium, lo Shark Reef Aquarium al Mandalay Bay, nello spettacolo “O” del Cirque Du Soleil.
Il frontman Dan Reynolds ha raccontato: «Con il videoclip di SHARKS volevamo rappresentare la nostra città natale (Las Vegas) nella luce che meritava: una città piena di passione, intrattenimento e arte, che non dorme mai ed eccentrica…una continua avventura da vivere. Faccio parte della terza generazione di abitanti di Las Vegas, amo questa città e dobbiamo a lei il nostro successo. SHARKS è un sentito omaggio alla nostra casa.»
