Sono state annunciate le nomination agli Emmy Awards 2022,  il più importante e prestigioso premio televisivo negli Stati Uniti d'America.

L'Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, infatti, ha scelto i titoli delle serie tv che più si sono distinte in questa stagione televisiva e i nomi degli attori che hanno lasciato un segno indelebile con le loro interpretazioni sul piccolo schermo, negli USA e non solo.

È Succession, la serie tv HBO con Brian Cox, quella che ha ottenuto il maggior numero di nomination, ben 25 totali. A seguire Ted Lasso di Apple Tv+ con 20 candidature.

Inaspettate ma non troppo, le candidature di The White Lotus (20), show creato e diretto dal cineasta Mike White e incentrato sulle vite dello staff e degli ospiti di un resort hawaiano durante il corso di una settimana, Euphoria (16) tra le miglior serie drammatiche e Squid Game (14 nomination), primo prodotto seriale non in lingua inglese candidato come miglior drama.

Tra le serie nominate agli Emmy Awards, è presente anche "Pam & Tommy", la serie biopic sullo scandalo che negli anni '90 travolse il batterista dei Motley Crue Tommy Lee e l'attrice Pamela Anderson, nella miniserie interpretati da Lily James e Sebastian Stan.
