La versione originale del brano Enemy è già una hit grazie alla colonna sonora di “Arcane“, la nuova serie animata Netflix ideata dai creatori della saga dei videogame “League of Legends“.
Per la seconda volta gli Imagine Dragons si trovano a collaborare con Riot Games dopo il successo di “Warriors” del 2014.
La canzone è stata eseguita agli EMAS in occasione delle due nominations ricevute dalla formazione di Las Vegas nelle categorie “Best Rock” e “Best Group”.
J.I.D è il rapper statunitense nominato ai Grammy che ha colpito per talento e personalità una delle band più influenti del pianeta.
Dan Reynolds, frontman degli Imagine Dragons, racconta il nuovo singolo:
«ENEMY parla di conflitti e al tempo stesso di riconciliazione in un mondo in cui sembra impossibile fidarsi anche di se stessi. In Arcane, le vite di due sorelle le portano su strade diverse e questa divisione rischia di distruggere un’intera città. Come la serie, la canzone vuole essere una critica sia personale sia a una società che sembra intenta a creare solo divisioni.»
