Nel 2008, STEVE ha fondato insieme ad Axwell e Ingrosso gli Swedish House Mafia che hanno ottenuto nomination consecutive ai Grammy per “Best Dance Recording” con le super hit “Save the World” nel 2012 e “Don’t You Worry Child” nel 2013. Hanno registrato il tutto esaurito in luoghi leggendari, tra cui il Milton Keynes Bowl e il Madison Square Garden — e si sono esibiti in prestigiosi festival quali Coachella, Ultra Music Festival ed oltre.
Il dj ha poi proseguito il suo percorso da solista, occupando un posto nell’ambita classifica dei “100 migliori DJ” di DJ Mag per 14 anni consecutivi e ha ricevuto due DJ Awards. Ha pubblicato remix ufficiali per tutti, da Justin Timberlake, Coldplay e Depeche Mode a Fergie e Moby.
Dopo il lungometraggio “Wild Youth”, ha raggiunto un altro picco creativo nel 2018 con “Human” e collaborando con Bishop T.D. Jakes in “Rejoice”, Pusha T in “Freedom”, Barns Courtney in “Dopamine” e altro ancora. Il 2021 ha segnato l’importante ritorno degli Swedish House Mafia con il loro tanto atteso LP “Paradise Again”, che ha conquistato il 1° posto nella Billboard Top Dance/Electronic Albums Chart e nella UK Dance Albums Chart. Sono partiti poi per il “Paradise Again World Tour”, toccando 29 città in 11 paesi in 2 continenti per cinque mesi.
