MIRAGE è la prima partnership che il franchise di Assassin’s Creed realizza con artisti globali ed è risultato della ricerca e dell’investimento musicale che il videogioco ha fatto negli anni e che ha portato il capitolo precedente, Asassin’s Creed: Valhalla, alla vittoria di un Grammy Award come miglior colonna sonora nel 2023.
Il brano è stato co-scritto dal frontman della band Ryan Tedder, che si è ispirato al gioco e ha interpolato alcune note della colonna sonora originale di Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, composta da Brendan Angelides e Layth Sidiq, lead vocalist e violinista.
“Non tutte le persone lo sanno, ma io e la mia band siamo grandi giocatori. Sono sempre stato un grande fan di Assassin’s Creed fin dall’inizio. Questo è uno di quei momenti in cui vorresti pizzicarti per provare che non stai sognando” – racconta Ryan Tedder.

Il singolo segna anche la collaborazione con Mishaal Tamer, che ha aperto i concerti del tour degli OneRepublic quest’estate. “Collaborare con i miei eroi musicali per la colonna sonora del mio videogame preferito, è un sogno che si realizza. Sono onorato di prendere parte a questo progetto”, afferma Mishaal Tamer.
