Anche l’edizione degli MTV VMA 2023 è archiviata. La cerimonia, la numero 40 dell’evento, si è tenuta nel New Jersey con la conduzione di Nicki Minaj, al timone per il secondo anno consecutivo. La grande notizia dagli MTV VMA 2023 è la vittoria prestigiosa e tutta italiana dei Måneskin per Best Rock, che battono mostri sacri come Foo Fighters, Muse, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica e Linkin Park. Grazie al video di The Loneliest la band porta a casa per la prima volta il premio.
Oltre ai Måneskin, un altro risultato importantissimo lo ottiene Taylor Swift, prima artista nella storia degli Video Music Awards a vincere nove premi. Per l’esattezza, agli MTV VMA 2023 l’artista ha vinto: video dell’anno, artista dell’anno, canzone dell’anno, best pop, show dell’estate, album dell’anno, miglior regia, miglior fotografia e migliori effetti visivi. Tutti questi riconoscimenti sono soprattutto merito della hit Anti-Hero, che ha sbancato a livello mondiale ottenendo, a oggi, ben 18 dischi di platino.
