Miley Ray Cyrus, nata Destiny Hope Cyrus, è una cantante, compositrice e attrice statunitense. È diventata famosa grazie al ruolo di Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana nella serie televisiva di Disney Channel Hannah Montana (2006-2011). Nell’ottobre 2006 viene pubblicata la prima colonna sonora della serie, appunto intitolata Hannah Montana, nella quale Cyrus interpreta nove brani, di cui otto come Hannah Montana e uno come se stessa. Nel 2007 firma un contratto discografico con la Hollywood Records per intraprendere la carriera solista e pubblica l’album in studio Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus. Nello stesso anno si esibisce con il Best of Both Worlds Tour, in cui canta sia come se stessa che come Hannah Montana. Il tour si trasforma poi in un film–concerto ed un album dal vivo, Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert, entrambi resi disponibili nel gennaio del 2008.
